Doctors Promoting Health and Wellness is a project of the Jivan Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization assembled to help educate the public about health development. Through various volunteer activities, such as Lunch-and-Learn lectures, Health Fair screenings, Employee Wellness Days or Corporate Talks, members of DHW contribute their time, resources, and staff for community health enhancement.
Each service provided by DHW members are entirely at no-cost to any group served. No tipping or tangible forms of ‘thank you’s’ can be accepted as indicated by our bylaws. A simple acknowledgement is the grandest gift to our members.
Many of our lunchtime lectures are co-sponsored local restaurants, so food will likely be provided. Our health screenings or preventative analysis may last for 1-2 hours, depending on the size of your organization. Employee wellness days typically last 1-3 hours, but may vary upon size of organization.
Participants are taught proactive approaches, such as exercises and stretches, strategies to minimize physical and mental stressors, or preventative measures to promote an active lifestyle. This prevents them from the otherwise likely alternative of sickness, illnesses, and injury.
Iceberg Health takes pride in donating a minimum of 40 hours per quarter to DPHW.
